Technician Diesel

Job Description

The Technician Diesel plays a vital role in maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Working within a small team of 1-3 technicians, this role involves frequent travel to various job sites and reporting directly to the Workshop Manager. The technician focuses on diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines as well as trailer refrigeration and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines and commercial vehicles
Maintain and repair hydraulic and electrical systems
Inspect equipment regularly to ensure safety compliance
Replace parts as needed to maintain vehicle functionality
Conduct maintenance on trailer refrigeration units
Adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance and repair tasks
Travel frequently to various job sites to perform repairs and inspections

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in diesel mechanics
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
