Miller's Textile Services is looking for a Business Development Specialist to expand our customer base in the Northwest Ohio area. At Miller's Textile Services, we provide Linen, Uniform, Floor Mat, and Sanitation/Janitorial/First Aid rental services to businesses across Ohio. This is a true new business sales role. While you'll receive inbound leads and referrals, success requires consistent prospecting through cold calls, emails, door-to-door visits, networking, and time spent working your territory. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within your territory. You'll conduct needs and cost-benefit analyses, deliver presentations, recommend service solutions, and close multi-year service agreements. You'll also manage your sales process from initial prospecting through new account onboarding. This includes maintaining consistent follow-up, keeping CRM activity and next steps current, and working closely with our Sales, Service, and other internal teams to ensure a smooth transition for new customers.

• Compensation: $50,000 base salary + uncapped commission. On average, top performers can expect to earn between $90,000$115,000+ annually, plus quarterly and annual performance bonuses.

• Will be comfortable prospecting: Consistently creates new opportunities through cold calling, field prospecting, email, networking, and other outbound activities.
• Will be self-managed: Effectively prioritizes prospecting, inbound opportunities, active deals, follow-up, and other responsibilities while managing a territory independently.
• Will be coachable: Welcomes feedback, applies coaching, and looks for opportunities to continuously improve.
• Will be resilient: Handles rejection professionally, adjusts their approach when necessary, and continues moving forward.
• Will be consultative: Listens, asks effective questions, understands customer needs, and recommends solutions that provide value.
• Will be collaborative: Works effectively with Sales, Service, and other departments to deliver a strong customer experience.
• Will be relationship-focused: Communicates effectively with a variety of people and develops professional relationships while remaining focused on new business growth.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in B2B sales or customer service, ideally in a recurring or rental-based service industry.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business through consistent outbound prospecting.
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong self-management and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable with cold calling and consultative selling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and CRM systems; Pipedrive experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Prior outside B2B sales experience.
• Experience selling recurring services, rental programs, or agreement-based solutions.
