Facilities Coordinator

U.S. Citizenship Required. Ability to qualify for a US Department of War security clearance required.

Toyon is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to support our Facilities Manager in providing general facility maintenance and operations support for our corporate headquarters and satellite offices. The Facilities Coordinator is the first line of responsive communication and action for facilities issues that may be addition to day-to-day resolution of facilities issues and supporting construction projects and improvements the Facilities Coordinator will be assigned responsibility for completing a range of facility projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute projects assigned by the Facilities Manager including sourcing vendors obtaining quotes and materials scheduling onsite work and providing oversight of vendor work
• Utilize the facilities ticketing system to receive log acknowledge provide status updates and close-out issues/requests in a timely manner
• Escort visitors and respond to external facilities-related inquiries
• Ensure that the interior and exterior presentation of the Toyon facilities project a professional image
• Promptly notify the Facilities Manager of time-critical emergency and safety-related facility issues
• Maintain a positive and professional presence and rapport with colleagues vendors temporary workers customers and others in the workplace environment
• Occasionally assist with shipping and receiving
• Keep all utilities and office equipment in working order
• Use tools to make small repairs install items in offices and assemble furniture items
• Support office relocations office setup and other needs of new and existing employees
• Oversee moving or installation of office furniture fixtures and other necessary office equipment
• Coordinate maintenance and repair services including on-site work of janitors and other vendor tradespeople
• Survey janitorial needs and perform regular inspections utilizing appropriate checklists
• Maintain organization and accountability of equipment and property in storage areas
• Support other general operations duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Excellent customer service background
• Minimum two years experience in related facilities support roles
• Basic computer skills (MS Word Excel PowerPoint etc.)
• Knowledge of office equipment (printers copiers fax machine postage machine etc.)
• Effective communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Minimum of high school diploma; associates degree preferred
• Must have drivers license and personal vehicle for running errands; a clean driving record is essential
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

The annual pay range for the Facilities Coordinator position is $55000 to $65000.

The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position at a full time level of effort exclusive of overtime bonus and benefits-related compensation over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidates education work experience applicable knowledge skills and training among other factors when preparing an offer of employment.
