The firm values integrity, professionalism, and practical solutions to complex legal matters. Role Description The Associate Attorney will work on-site full time in the firm’s Tarboro, NC office. Responsibilities include managing a caseload under the supervision of senior attorneys, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents, and providing clear, practical legal advice to clients. The role involves representing clients in negotiations, hearings, and other proceedings, as well as assisting with case strategy and preparation. The Associate Attorney will collaborate closely with colleagues and staff, maintain organized case files, and ensure deadlines and court requirements are met. The position also includes participating in client meetings, contributing to firm initiatives, and engaging in professional development to deepen subject-matter expertise. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law with the ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and case law effectively. Knowledge of Real Estate and Estate Planning and Administration Law. Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice tailored to client needs and objectives. Proficiency in legal Research, including case law, statutory, and regulatory research using online and traditional resources. Effective Negotiation skills to advocate for clients in settlements, contracts, and dispute resolution settings. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license (or eligibility for prompt admission) to practice law in North Carolina. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in drafting legal documents. Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor, sound judgment, and a client-service mindset aligned with the firm’s “attorneys invested in you” philosophy.
