Contract (13 or 18 weeks) | Nights, 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 40-bed, high-acuity ICU with targeted patient ratios of 1:2–3
• Support and assist with bedside procedures including Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Trach, and G-Tube placement, as well as immediate post-operative patient recovery
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ICP monitoring, arterial lines, Flotrac monitoring, BIS, and train of four
• Read and interpret EKG/cardiac rhythm strips accurately
• Float within the facility or to nearby campuses based on census and skill set, including potential assignment to a high-risk respiratory unit; traveler will be first to float at the facility's discretion
• Maintain flexibility with holiday scheduling; every other holiday worked is expected, with holiday assignments determined by the manager

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (any active state license or compact license accepted); license must be obtained prior to contract start date
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Tracheostomy (Trach) experience required; must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience in a large hospital setting (Level 1 preferred; Level 2 experience accepted)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass an online EKG/Dysrhythmia competency assessment within 72 hours of signing the contract
• Must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma center background preferred
• Experience with high-acuity patients and complex bedside procedures in an ICU setting
