The facility provides residential and community-based support for adults with behavioral health needs and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. It operates as a community behavioral health and service setting rather than a hospital or large medical center. Clinical oversight is provided by an Executive Director and Psychiatrist within a structured, on-site environment.

The area offers a range of family-friendly attractions, including Franklin Square with its playground, mini-golf, and carousel, as well as the Philadelphia Zoo and the Please Touch Museum. Outdoor enthusiasts may explore trails at Wissahickon Valley Park, walk the Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk, or visit Longwood Gardens. Cultural and educational institutions such as The Franklin Institute, the Museum of the American Revolution, and the Penn Museum provide additional options for visitors of all interests.

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will provide individual, family, and group therapy to adults experiencing psychiatric symptoms on a full-time day shift schedule totaling 40 hours per week. The clinician will conduct intakes and assessments, including biopsychosocial and risk assessments, and will develop treatment and recovery plans in collaboration with clients while monitoring progress. Responsibilities also include crisis intervention and outreach, care coordination with psychiatrists, medical professionals, community resources, and family members, as well as documentation such as progress notes, treatment-plan updates, collateral contacts, and discharge summaries. Evidence-based approaches are utilized, including Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Enhancement Therapy, and Illness Management and Recovery.
