Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, and shipping merchandise or material; verifying and recording outgoing merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. They will use various tools and techniques to support their assigned department. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers' needs are consistently met, promoting our company's continued strong national growth.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneInternal Relationships: All DepartmentsExternal Relationships: Regular contact with customers, prospective customers, or vendorsTraits Displayed:Ability to exude high energy, solution-based thinking, while focusing great attention to detail and maintaining a service-oriented disposition.Contribute to a work environment that promotes pride in being part of a winning team and encourages personal and professional growth and success.Assure productivity and high-quality standards are constant so that the company and employees collectively enjoy optimum financial returns, job security, personal career growth and excellent service to customers.Ability to provide exemplary and consistent customer satisfaction, with a strong capacity for building relationships.Primary Responsibilities:Prepares bills of lading for each shipment and checks and records all items loaded for shipment, as needed.Assist in the oversight of fast paced Shipping department.Notifies manager when major discrepancies occur, over – shipments or substitutions have been made.Maintains shipping records.Prepares shipments via FedEx, UPS or other third-party carriers.Coordinates shipment schedules with drivers to reach customer requirements.Driving Shipping department to consistently meet or exceed established metrics.Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.Manage logistics and shipping requirements, coordinating with production facilities to ensure timely delivery.Communicate with subcontractors to submit expedite requests and follow -up on open orders.Perform other related duties as instructed.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.1+ year relevant experience.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instruction.
