Job Title

Health Technician

Duties

Duties includes but are not limited to the following:

Initiates cardiac monitoring correctly, and is able to admit/discharge patients from monitoring system and print rhythm strips.
Performs venipuncture to obtain serum blood samples as ordered according to VHA, Medical Center, ED, and Laboratory policy and procedures.
Performs urine dipstick testing and properly reports the results to the physician and/or the RN and documents appropriately.
Facilitates maintaining charts and patient tracking information board.
Provides patient care tasks as delegated
Orders, maintains, and stocks supplies for the unit.
Attends and participates in in-services/training opportunities in order to plan quality patient care.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 07:30 - 4:00pm.

This is not a virtual position.
