SonographerLocation: Morristown, NJ Duration: 13 Weeks Contract (Possibility of extension) Schedule 1: Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun 9:00am - 7:00pm Schedule 2: Either Sun-Thurs, 10:30am - 6:30pm or Tues-Sat, 10:30am - 6:30pm. Pay Rate: $60/HR ON W2 Non-Taxable Per Diem is provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facilityDuties:Prepares patient for examination focusing on patient comfort and satisfaction, explains the procedure in easy-to-understand terms performs ultrasound procedures, relieves patients of pre-testing anxiety and directly observes the and monitors the patient during the entire process.Sets-up equipment to administer procedures in a timely fashion.Carefully reviews prior reports and images, and patient chart.Ensures that proper images have been obtained, studies are complete and thorough, appropriate techniques have been employed, reader is notified.Maintains records and logs exams performed.Maintains control of inventory and purchases of supplies for the assigned area.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills & Experience:Experienced Sonographer to perform high-quality Adult Echo studies as per ASE & IAC Guidelines in a premiere cardiac center.Dedicated inpatient echo work experience is a must. Experience documented by institutional referral with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities and quickly respond to critical findings.Preferred Skills & Experience:TEE and Stress Echo experience.Familiarity with 3D echo imaging.TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, closure device protocols.Maintaining ICAEL-accreditation echo lab standards.Experience using Philips ie33 and Epiq systems.Familiarity with Epic hospital information system.Required Education:High School Diploma or GED required.Preferred Education:Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.Required Certifications & Licensure:Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association (AHA)Experience documented by institutional referral with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.
