Details Radiation Therapy department within an Oncology Clinic setting Provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week, totaling 40 hours weekly Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Current chemotherapy certification with at least 1 year of chemotherapy experience required ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Oncology experience preferred Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors Additional Information Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents responses to nursing interventions and treatments Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments Obtains and monitors physiological data, observing and intervening as needed Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout treatment and at discharge Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position Workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines and will not accommodate push starts Onboarding, including drug screens and background checks, must begin immediately upon offer American Traveler Job ID P-735340.
