Facilities Custodian

Custodian / Bus Driver Union County Community Action, Inc. Work Location- Hamlet, Richmond County, NC UCCA is seeking dependable team members to maintain clean, safe learning environments while supporting transportation services for Head Start children and families. Starting Rate: Up to $16 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am-4:30pm (40 hours/week) Benefits Eligible employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance through BCBSNC Company-Paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability Insurance 401(k) eligibility after one year of employment Paid Time Off including Annual Leave, Sick Leave, and Holidays Tuition Assistance opportunities Employee Referral Program Professional development and career growth opportunities Meaningful work serving children and families in our community Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, and common areas Assist with facility maintenance and supply organization Safely transport children to and from program locations Serve as a bus monitor when assigned Maintain safe and sanitary environments for children and staff Support program operations as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Related custodial or maintenance experience preferred CDL required or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and maintain facilities Valid driver’s license required Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings. Physical Requirements Must be able to perform physical custodial duties including standing, bending, lifting, mopping, and operating cleaning equipment.
