Role Overview The full-time Occupational Therapist provides skilled inpatient services in an acute care hospital setting, focusing on evaluation, treatment planning, and patient education. They collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams, making referrals to specialists as needed. Responsibilities include establishing treatment plans, documenting interventions, and delegating tasks to assistants and students based on competency. The role requires assessing, reassessing, and consulting on occupational therapy services to meet patient needs and discharge goals. Establishes and implements individualized treatment plans considering discharge needs and equipment requirements. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers, making appropriate referrals. Delegates interventions to support staff, ensuring competency and quality care. Maintains thorough documentation in accordance with departmental policies. Provides assessments, re-evaluations, and consultations for occupational therapy services. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT); Master’s preferred. Active Occupational Therapist license. No prior experience required; supervision experience is not mandatory.
