Occupational Therapist (OT)

At Clinton Manor Living Center, their mission is to passionately support each person in living a meaningful and satisfying life! Clinton Manor provides long-term care with skilled nursing that accommodates seniors or individuals with high medical needs. A team of highly-skilled RN's, LPN's and Certified Nurse Assistants support residents recuperating from surgery, stroke or illness. Clinton Manor also specializes in assisting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Direct Support Professionals (also known as DSPs) provide hands-on, person-centered, direct care for individuals with developmental disabilities whom reside with us. We have now extended out therapy department and looking to find quality candidates to fill supporting roles within this department. The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats residents with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial impairments to help them achieve their highest level of independence in daily activities. The OT develops and implements individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in a skilled nursing facility setting. This will be a PRN position and will fill in as needed Clinton Manor's full benefits listing: Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities using standardized assessments and clinical observation Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental ADLs, cognition, and upper-extremity function Administer therapeutic interventions including therapeutic activities, adaptive equipment training, sensory integration, and cognitive-perceptual retraining Recommend and train residents in the use of adaptive equipment and home modifications to maximize safety and independence Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical response and changing needs Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to support functional independence and prevent decline Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nursing, physical therapy, and speech therapy, to coordinate resident care Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with Medicare, state, and facility requirements Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and continuing education/in-service programs Education, Certification & licensure Requirements Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program Successful completion of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification examination Current, unrestricted state license as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) Multistate practice privileges through the OT Licensure Compact are a plus in participating states Experience & Preferred Skills Experience in a skilled nursing facility or with geriatric populations preferred Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation systems Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team EOE #J-18808-Ljbffr
