Overview:

SAP Basis Administrator - Integration Architect

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Local candidates only - Onsite role)

Employment Type: Contract / Full-time (specify as needed)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator / Integration Architect with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA environments . This role requires hands-on technical leadership across installations, upgrades, OSDB migrations, performance optimization, HADR solutions, and SAP HANA integration . You will be a key contributor in driving SAP landscape stability, scalability, and innovation while working onsite with business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Landscape Management: Plan, install, configure, and upgrade SAP S/4HANA, FIORI, SLT, SOLMAN, and SAP Router.
Migration & Conversions: Perform OSDB migrations, Unicode conversions, and handle S/4HANA implementations/conversions.
System Operations: Configure TMS, manage background jobs, transport strategies, apply support packages, and kernel upgrades.
HADR & Backup: Set up/maintain High Availability & Disaster Recovery solutions, backups, and recovery procedures.
Performance Tuning: Optimize systems using SQL traces, stored procedures, and advanced tuning techniques.
Integration & Connectivity: Integrate SAP HANA with remote systems, configure SSO/SSL, and support external connectivity.
Automation & Scripting: Automate SAP Basis tasks to enhance operational efficiency.
Troubleshooting & RCA: Provide advanced incident resolution, apply OSS notes, and deliver root cause analyses.
Monitoring & Reporting: Configure EarlyWatch alerts, system health checks, and prepare technical documentation/SOPs.
Support: Participate in on-call rotation (weekdays/weekends).

Must-Have Qualifications

7+ years hands-on SAP Basis HANA administration experience.
Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA implementations, conversions, and migrations .
Advanced SQL scripting skills (stored procedures, query optimization).
Deep knowledge of the HANA in-memory platform (installations, upgrades, tuning).
Proven experience with OSDB migrations, Unicode conversions, DMO tools .
Expertise in HADR (High Availability & Disaster Recovery) .
Strong Linux OS administration skills in SAP landscapes.
Excellent troubleshooting, incident management, and RCA experience.

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with SLT and SAP Data Services.
Expertise in system sizing (Quick Sizer) and data archiving.
Strong automation & scripting capabilities.
SAP S/4HANA and OSDB Migration certifications .
Experience creating Adobe-standard documentation .
