Job Type: Part-time | Union How You'll Contribute A Telemetry Technician who excels in this role: Perform continual surveillance of multiple monitors. Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts. Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports on equipment problems to supervisor. What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, candidates should have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and phlebotomy training. Additional requirements include: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required; Associate's degree Preferred. Licenses: EMT, EMT-P, CNA, SRNA, or CMA Preferred or completion of first semester clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing Degree Program (ADN or BSN). Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Required; Completion of Cardiac Telemetry Certification within 1 year of hire; Evidence of successful completion of Telemetry/Dysrhythmia course.
