Compensation Range: $20.00 - $24.00/Hour *Range(s) - DOE

This role will reach every part of the operations in a dual-job position. While this position is a Shift Coordinator, it will also step in as a line cook to support the kitchen and restaurant operations. As a Shift Coordinator (hourly, non-exempt position) you are responsible for assisting the management team in all aspects of shift management. Completion of the Shift Coordinator Program is a requirement prior to starting the Shift Coordinator training. This role will also include duties as a line cook which is responsible for setting up and stocking assigned stations with all necessary supplies, preparing food for service, and cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.

Shift Coordinator Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs all duties as outlined in the Shift Coordinator certification program
• Sets an example for Team Members by working hard to implement shift plan and ensure swift and smooth production
• Delegates in a way that encourages teamwork during shift to ensure that the restaurant operations comply with company standards
• Communicates daily work goals to team from leadership
• Motivates Team Members to exceed guest expectations with food and friendly service in clean surroundings
• Works with team to act on guest feedback and resolve complaints in a timely, friendly and professional manner
• Takes initiative to immediately report violations of safety, sanitation, security and other company policies to restaurant management
• Follows all POS comp procedures and cash handling procedures-May never discount their own checks
• Assist leadership with coordinating and scheduling interviews for hourly team members
• Must follow manager appearance standards when performing Shift Coordinator duties
• Demonstrate appropriate professional and ethical behavior, at all times, when interacting with guests, employees, and managers
• Directs, trains and motivates ongoing shift responsibilities to employees and ensure proper completion of assigned tasks and checklists
• Follow all procedures and policies to ensure the safety of all employees and guests
• Assist managers with promotional roll-outs and training
• Preparing and sorting documents for data entry
• Entering invoices into database software and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data has been inputted
• Tracking, reviewing, and submitting invoices
• Resolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for incomplete documents
• Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned.

Line Cook - Duties & Responsibilities While this position is Shift Coordinator, it will also step in as a line cook to support the kitchen and restaurant needs.

• Prepare all restaurants foods
• Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of the kitchen
• Read, measure and execute recipes
• Read and execute computer tickets for service
• Apply knife skills required for service and preparation Maintain a solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
• Assist Chefs as needed in execution of service
• Communicate with management, chefs and service staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees
• Move furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to: tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, and equipment
• Comply with all safety and health department procedures
• Maintain company safety and sanitation standards
• Ensure complete and proper check out procedures
• Clean all spills immediately and place all trash in proper receptacles
• Inform management of any complaint, comments or incident
• Ensure nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed
• Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to management immediately
• Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma preferred
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Valid Driver's License
• 18+ years of age
• Possession of or the ability to possess all state-required work cards
• Minimum of one (2) years related experience
• Familiarity with Opentable
• Proper lifting techniques
• Guest relations
• Sanitation and safety
• Safe alcohol service
• Full-service restaurant operations
• Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the public

Working Conditions:

• Work indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and/or cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors
• Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon guest volume
• Fast paced, high volume, full service restaurant
• Work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
