CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities The incumbent serves as a Clinical Supervisor in the Clinical Services Administration, Department of Behavioral Health (DBH). Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and directing a full range of community behavioral health services responsive to the needs of a culturally diverse population; managing an interdisciplinary team; providing direct supervision to staff; determining priorities and establishing schedules; making work assignments; providing direct care and assessment services to individuals and community partners; and participating in community‑based emergency service responses with the Metropolitan Police Department. Qualifications Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in a health‑related or allied science field and one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal grade level progression for the position. Licensure Licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) or equivalent Psychologist, registered nurse (RN), licensed professional counselor (LPC), or equivalent clinician license Education Bachelor’s degree or higher with major in a health‑related or allied science field. Work Experience Experience planning, coordinating, and directing community behavioral health services that respond to population needs. Work Environment Work may be performed in consumer residences, community‑based facilities, or specialized service centers throughout the District of Columbia metropolitan area.
