Manager, Biochemical Analysis
Catalent
Catalent seeks a Manager of Biochemical Analysis for its Kansas City facility to lead analytical teams supporting biopharma product development. The role combines technical expertise in analytical instrumentation with people management, client liaison responsibilities, and cGMP compliance oversight.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop sub-teams of group leaders and scientists with coaching and performance management
- Oversee analytical activities and method development under cGMP guidance, ensuring quality and compliance
- Serve as technical expert and liaison between clients and internal Catalent teams on biopharma projects
- Handle HR activities including performance reviews, time entry approval, and career development discussions
- Support client audits, manage equipment validation, and ensure data integrity and adherence to SOPs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years relevant analytical experience, or Master's plus 3+ years, or Doctorate plus 2+ years
- Demonstrated leadership experience; internal Catalent leadership programs may substitute for external experience
- Strong knowledge of biology, chemistry, and biochemistry principles with broad disciplinary understanding
- In-depth expertise in analytical instrumentation, theory, and data interpretation in at least one technical area
- Drug development experience and ability to develop strategies for regulatory milestones
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
