Located in beautiful Middle Tennessee, the Murfreesboro manufacturing site is comprised of over 1000 dedicated employees serving the Morning Foods and Meals & Baking Operating Units for General Mills. Your work schedule and shift information:

• 8-hour shifts Monday Friday and every 3rd weekend
• 6:50am - 3:20pm
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency events
• Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week

Key accountabilities:

• Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues
• Providing technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modifications
• Understanding, initiating, and participating in root cause analysis (why, why)
• Performing both uptime and downtime preventative maintenance
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
• Assist in training new employees as well as engaging in your individual training.

Minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of a high school education or GED
• 1 year manufacturing maintenance experience in industrial maintenance or a technical degree in industrial maintenance or engineering
• Backflow preventer rebuild certification
• Experience in powered industrial truck maintenance
• Experience in a food manufacturing/production environment preferred
• Proficiency in basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
• Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
• Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
• Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment (personal protective equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
• Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
