In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing technology-related projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope and aligned with business goals. You will work closely with clients, project managers, developers, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring that Infrastructure and software standards are maintained for all DP World regional locations under area of support, with the ability to perform site audits as requiredPerform proactive maintenance and management activities within team core platformsDevelop and maintain technical knowledge of all critical operational software applications, IT processes, and proceduresDocument technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals within the company ITKBCreates / updates work instructions for new tasks or as the steps for existing tasks are modified, ensures all documentation is in the proper format and is stored in the location identified by the IT Management teamEvaluate and improve existing programs by evaluating objectives and specifications, reviewing proposed changes and making recommendationsDiagnose and troubleshoot basic and escalated technical issues using remote desktop applications and help desk softwareProvide support on network systems and protocols as well as server hardware and operating systems as requiredAdhere to DP World's security process while proactively identifying security issues and escalating these to the TSE team lead or appropriate managerAdhere to the DP World Software testing and approval processSupport third party application management, package creation and deploymentsAdhere to the DP World purchasing process to ensure that all IT equipment is properly tracked throughout the hardware lifecycleProvide onsite support for site launches/expansions/changes and server / network refreshes with up to 30% travel (required)Participation in a regional on-call rotation (required)Other duties as assignedQualifications, Experience and SkillsAssociate's degree in Computer Science and/or technical fieldEquivalent training/certifications/experience will be considered3 or more years of experience in relevant job or field of technologyProven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar roleCommunicative with excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication skillsSolid attention to detail and the ability to create and document process and proceduresThe ability to work within a very demanding environment and handle stress in a positive manner and maintain a high degree of confidentialityExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsA good understanding of network systems and protocols as well as server hardware and operating systemsAbility to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously through to completion without promptingAbility to plan, prioritize and drive issues, tasks and deliverables to closureExperience and/or certifications for MS O365 Admin, SharePoint Administration and Intune a plusExperience with PowerShell and / or scripting languagesPlease note: This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas.
