Job Description:


- Shift Details:
- 12-Hour Shifts: Evening & Night
- 3 PM Starts
- Every Other Weekend Requirement
- First to Float

- Unit Notes:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience
- No duos or first-time travelers accepted
- Floating to Pediatric ER is required
- Basic EKG interpretation test assigned during orientation

- Facility Highlights:
- Adult ER has 36 treatment areas; Pediatric ER has 12 treatment areas plus 8 fast track pods
- Approximately 325 patients visit per day across both ERs
- 30,000 pediatric patients seen per year
- Experienced in managing a wide range of conditions from minor injuries to critical cases

- Required Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required for Adult ER
- Significant Pediatric ER experience required

- Patient Experience:
- Deal with diverse diagnoses including respiratory failure, asthma, abdominal pain, fractures, substance abuse, STEMI, CVA, and burn cases
- Opportunities for procedural sedation and critical care experiences

- Team Work Environment:
- Staffing includes MDs, mid-levels, charge nurses, and house supervisors
- Collaboration with RTs for respiratory treatments and EKG monitoring


- Shift Flexibility:
- No block scheduling, candidates must be flexible with assignments
- Weekend and holiday shifts expected

- Additional Information:
- No call requirement, but standby during low census possible
- Scrub color: Navy blue (no hoodies/sweatshirts)
