Purpose of PositionOperate blade grinding equipment to produce high quality razor blades.II. Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Procedures:Maintain and operate blade grinding machines in a high-speed manufacturing environment.Regulate machining by setting and adjusting controls.Maintain specifications by observing quality standards and utilizing precision measurement equipment.Resolve production problems to meet specifications and troubleshoot equipment; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.Keep machines and work area clean.Document actions by completing production and quality records.III. Required Skills and Experience:Must be able to correctly read and interpret instruments and gages.Must be able to correctly calculate basic mathematics equations (addition, subtraction, division, percentages).2 years prior manufacturing experience. Examples: CNC Operator, Press Operator, Machine Operator, Molding Technician, or Maintenance background and/or related technical certification.Good Interpersonal Skills.Strong Communications Skills, both verbal and written.Excellent mechanical skills, both verbal and written.High speed machine/equipment operation.Demonstrates problem solving & trouble shooting skills.Basic knowledge of blue print reading.Demonstrates quality awareness & attention to detail.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
