Cardiac Ultrasound Tech

Job Summary Performs standard and specialized Cardiac Ultrasound studies associated with the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disorders. Also performs standard and specialized studies associated with the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disorders. Education, Credentials and Training Required RRT, RN or LPN or currently enrolled in an AMA approved program in echocardiography and working under the supervision of a Cardiologist or Registered Echocardiographer. RDMS, RDCS, RCVT or RCS eligible or registered within 3 years of hire. BLS and ACLS. Incumbent will be required to demonstrate competence in the performance of duties specific to patients in age groups ranging from 18 years old through adult. Preferred Registered as RDMS, RCS or RCVT. Advanced coursework in cardiovascular peripheral diagnostics and vascular testing. EEG, EKG, and ABG training. PFT training. Stress test training. IV skills. Experience Required A minimum of three years of clinical experience with Cardiac Ultrasound, EKG testing, Cardiac Stress testing, Peripheral Vascular testing, or Nursing is required. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months. #J-18808-Ljbffr
