Industry Financial Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President of Accounting to provide both strategic oversight and hands-on execution in the areas of tax compliance and accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all federal, state, and local tax compliance obligations are met with precision and in a timely manner. This role involves coordinating with external tax advisors and auditors on complex matters, as well as developing and implementing tax planning strategies to optimize the company's effective tax rate. Additionally, the Vice President of Accounting will direct day-to-day accounting functions, lead budgeting and financial planning processes, and ensure the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Applicants for the Vice President of Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. A CPA designation is strongly preferred, and a minimum of 4-7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including a management role, is required. The role demands a candidate with proven experience in tax compliance, planning, and accounting operations, as well as high proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus. The Vice President of Accounting will also be expected to maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures, and serve as a strategic financial partner to the CFO and COO.
