This role operates with greater autonomy and supports complex enterprise environments and mission-critical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesLead monitoring and health assessments of enterprise infrastructure and mission systemsPerform advanced troubleshooting of complex system, network, and virtualization issuesExecute and oversee system patching, maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle managementDrive incident response coordination, root cause analysis, and resolution documentationPartner with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to plan and execute engineering activitiesProvide cybersecurity compliance support and audit readiness assistanceIdentify inefficiencies and implement system performance optimizationsMentor junior administrators and support operational best practicesContribute to process engineering and infrastructure modernization effortsRequired Education, Certification, Clearance & TechnologyBachelor's degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline)Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR accessDoD 8140 IAT Level II certification required (or higher) within 6 months (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CISSP)Required Technology Experience:Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM): advanced packaging, OS deployment, patch management, troubleshooting DP/client communication issuesWindows Server Update Services (WSUS): enterprise administration, synchronization, approval workflows, MECM integrationVMware vSphere/ESXi: advanced administration including clusters, HA/DRS, performance tuning, virtual networkingWindows Server 2016–2025 and Windows 11 enterprise administrationActive Directory architecture, DNS, Group Policy design and troubleshootingPowerShell and Bash scripting for automation and system managementMonitoring, logging, and performance analysis toolsExperience supporting large-scale enterprise or mission-critical infrastructureExperience Requirements5+ years of relevant experience (Master's degree may substitute for up to 2 years)Preferred QualificationsPKI / Certificate Services (ADCS, certificate automation, OCSP, CRLs, TLS infrastructure)Ansible automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code implementationMicrosoft Exchange hybrid or enterprise environmentsExperience leading technical initiatives or infrastructure projectsStrong root cause analysis and systems engineering experienceTravelUp to 10% travel requiredWhy JoinSupport a mission-critical Air Force program that enables next-generation distributed combat training.
