Qualifications and Desired Background:

• Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in Texas
• Experience within a school setting strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Familiarity with sensory integration, fine motor, and adaptive skill interventions
• Effective communication and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate with other professionals and families to support student success

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate student needs to develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement therapeutic interventions in the classroom
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations
• Keep accurate records of student progress, assessments, and interventions
• Educate families and staff on strategies to support students’ occupational therapy goals
