We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Recruiter in our Modesto, CA office!

  • This is a Full-Time (M-F) in-office position (no hybrid or remote).

Summary: The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will manage full-cycle recruitment process for positions across our U.S. and Canadian offices and plants. The position partners with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop targeted recruitment strategies, source and assess candidates, coordinate the selection and offer process, and maintain a smooth and positive candidate experience. They will also analyze recruiting results and local labor-market conditions, recommend practical sourcing and process improvements, and support approved initiatives that strengthen the company’s employment brand and recruiting effectiveness.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process for assigned requisitions across North America with a range of exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Source, screen, interview, and assess candidates against documented position requirements, and coordinate the process from initial candidate engagement through onboarding.
  • Coordinate phone, video, and on-site interviews; serve as the primary liaison between candidates and hiring managers; and maintain timely, professional communication throughout the selection process.
  • Review job descriptions and staffing and sourcing procedures; recommend improvements that streamline the recruiting process and maximize resources; and implement approved changes within established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor local labor-market conditions, including talent availability and contingent-labor rates, and advise hiring managers and HR leadership on practical recruiting and sourcing strategies.
  • Manage competing requisition and project deadlines and escalate constraints that may affect staffing objectives.
  • Source candidates and develop external talent pipelines through job boards, direct outreach, employee referrals, applicant databases, internet search tools, networking, social media, job fairs, staffing agencies, educational institutions, military transition programs, employment offices, and community or career organizations.
  • Analyze recruiting data and present findings and recommendations for improvements to interview guides, job descriptions, recruiting processes, and success measures.
  • Manage offer communications, pre-employment follow-up, and recruiting-related onboarding activities; coordinate with candidates, hiring managers, and HR partners to support a timely transition into employment; and contribute to training resources used in the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.
  • Follow Compliance requirements per “KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities.”
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including demonstrated high-volume or agency staffing experience.
  • Experience recruiting in the manufacturing/building materials industry, engineering, sales, IT, management, production line (or other high-volume hourly operations) is strongly preferred.
  • An associate degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and recruiting experience, is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Skilled in managing a minimum of 14 open requisitions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and applicable labor laws.
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting key performance metrics (time-to-fill ratios, interview-to-hire ratios, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience using job-posting platforms and multiple sourcing methods, including direct outreach, employee referrals, applicant databases, and internet search tools.

Other Skills and Requirements:

  • Solid experience in Applicant Tracking Systems (preferably UKG) and other HR software.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively in person.
  • Highly organized with strong technical skills. Including Excel. PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with hiring managers and HR partners, organize competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple recruiting projects to meet established objectives.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
  • Occasional travel to other locations, job fairs, recruiting events, etc.

  • Adjusts quickly without becoming unsettled or losing sight of the most important outcomes.

Steady Sense of Urgency

  • Naturally works with pace and purpose while preserving sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Maintains momentum through sustained demand rather than waiting for conditions to slow down.

Disciplined Personal Organization

  • Is consistently organized, prepared, and attentive to details even when managing many moving priorities.
  • Keeps commitments visible and follows through without requiring close oversight or repeated reminders.

Mature Independent Judgment

  • Uses practical judgment when information is incomplete, competing needs arise, or established plans no longer fit the situation.
  • Knows when to act independently, when to ask a thoughtful question, and when an issue warrants escalation.

Credible Service Mindset

  • Builds trust through responsiveness, candor, and respect for both candidates and internal partners.
  • Balances a helpful approach with the confidence to set realistic expectations and address difficult information directly.

Resilient Professional Composure

  • Stays composed and solution-focused through setbacks, competing demands, and frequent changes in direction.
  • Responds to pressure with persistence and perspective rather than defensiveness or visible frustration.

Practical Learning Agility

  • Is curious and open-minded when tools, processes, information sources, or expectations evolve.
  • Learns through thoughtful questioning while evaluating new information with healthy skepticism and sound human judgment.
