WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

The Shift Leader position is responsible for helping us maintain our culture day-in and day-out. You'll run the floor, set the pace and be the person the team looks to when the Store Manager is out. Our owner is hands-on, caring and committed, with multiple locations on the way, and his number one focus is always building and encouraging a great team. For someone who wants to grow, that's the whole point. Strong Shift Leaders are exactly who we look to for Store Manager and, down the road, District Manager roles as we add stores.

THE ROLE

As a Shift Leader, you direct an efficient workflow, support the Store Manager and model what great looks like behind the counter. You're the team leader when the Store Manager is unavailable, and you set the tone for the whole shift.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead the shift

• Deliver a consistent, quality customer experience by executing brand recipes and techniques, resolving customer issues and leading the team in our “Amazing” service standard
• Hold speed of service through the rush by staying calm, running an efficient workflow, anticipating customer needs and using downtime to prep for the next wave
• Serve as a role model for every barista responsibility

Support the team

• Assist the Store Manager in onboarding and training new team members
• Build strong working relationships and learn what motivates each person
• Proactively look for ways to grow individual and team sales

Run it right

• Execute cash handling, point of sale and operational procedures accurately and consistently
• Ensure the team follows all health, safety and sanitation guidelines
• Serve as a keyholder, following all opening and closing procedures
• Show up with punctuality, dependability and adaptability
• Assist the Store Manager with administrative duties as requested
