Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher in a resource setting. In this contract role, you’ll make a direct impact on the daily learning experience of 6th through 8th graders with diverse learning needs. You’ll help empower 28 students, guiding them toward academic growth and greater independence in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Bring:

• Current certification in Special Education, with preference for mild-moderate disabilities or learning disabilities
• Experience working with middle school students or in a resource classroom setting
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and staff
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering inclusion, advocacy, and differentiated instruction
• Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning and classroom management

Your Responsibilities:

• Design and adapt instructional materials tailored for students in grades 6-8, ensuring alignment with IEPs
• Work closely with general education teachers to facilitate an inclusive academic environment
• Track student progress, adjusting methods and supports as needed
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student performance and goals
• Provide academic, emotional, and behavioral support throughout the school day
• Maintain compliance with documentation and reporting requirements
