About this role

We are hiring experienced carpenters in Cartersville, GA to build, set, and strip modular engineered formwork for commercial and civil concrete projects. This role is hands-on: you will work on-site assembling system formwork, performing layout from drawings, and ensuring safe, accurate concrete placement. Best fit candidates have commercial or civil form carpentry experience, strong layout and blueprint-reading skills, and a track record of working safely around concrete placement. This is a full-time, onsite position on active construction sites in the Cartersville area; regional travel to nearby jobs may be required.

What you'll do

• Assemble, erect, and strip modular engineered formwork systems for slabs, walls, columns, and footings
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to set layout points, form alignment, and elevation control
• Measure, cut, fasten, and fit framing members and form components to required tolerances
• Install ties, hardware, shoring components, and accessories; make adjustments during concrete placement
• Coordinate with concrete crews during pour operations and perform quality checks after strip
• Maintain tools, equipment, and form components; follow site housekeeping and safety rules

What we're looking for

• Proven commercial or civil concrete formwork carpentry experience with modular/system formwork
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and layout points
• Strong measuring and cutting skills; comfortable using hand and power tools
• Experience performing site layout and setting elevations with basic layout tools
• Knowledge of concrete form ties, shoring, and basic rigging practices
• Commitment to following safety procedures on active job sites

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Cartersville-area sites
• OSHA 10-hour construction safety card (or willingness to obtain)
• Basic rigging, fall protection, or confined space training a plus
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Physical ability to lift, climb, and work outdoors in variable conditions
• Spanish/English bilingual skills a plus
