Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Screening Specialist in Columbus OH you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and support visitors with strong customer service and this role you will contribute to a caring people-first culture built on teamwork integrity and reliable service while helping create a professional and welcoming environment.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out assigned security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents unusual activity and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings grounds entry points and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points and public areas observe and document security-related concerns and communicate with site contacts visitors and/or first responders as needed.
• Support daily operations by following post orders maintaining a visible presence and completing required logs reports and/or other documentation accurately and on time.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
