Job Description

• Maintain compliance with state laws, rules, policies, and procedures for the renewal and reinstatement of insurance licenses.
• Handle renewal and reinstatement licensing for resident and non-resident insurance producers (agents/brokers), consultants, and insurance agencies.
• Receive and review license renewal and reinstatement applications, including civil, criminal, and administrative background documents.
• Determine applicants’ eligibility for license renewal based on Indiana state laws, rules, and policies.
• Coordinate with the IDOI Enforcement Division, Vertafore/Sircon, NIPR, Client, and other state insurance departments to verify potential disqualifications.
• Use various databases and systems to review applications, including MyCase.in.gov, NIPR Attachments Warehouse, I-Site, Sircon for States, e-PAL, INBiz, and Client BrokerCheck.
• Process license reinstatement waiver forms for producers required to take the IDOI Laws & Regulations exam when reinstating an expired license within one year.
• Advise applicants on reinstatement procedures, eligibility requirements, and necessary steps.
• Track applicants’ progress throughout the license reinstatement process.
• Maintain and update the IDOI licensing renewal and reinstatement webpages on the official website.
• Work with system vendors, including Vertafore/Sircon and NIPR, to troubleshoot system errors and resolve technical issues.
• Address licensing renewal and reinstatement concerns raised by insurance producers, consultants, and agencies.
• Assist in implementing system enhancements and process improvements.
• Manage communications with internal and external stakeholders regarding licensing renewals, reinstatements, questions, concerns, and initiatives.
• Review continuing education (CE) due-date extension requests and CE retirement exemption forms in coordination with the manager.
• Provide backup receptionist support when required.
