Operations DirectorOur client is an established commercial cleaning and facility services company serving mid-size and large general contractors in a growing regional market.The company is entering a significant growth phase focused on strengthening existing general contractor relationships, expanding its project and bid pipeline, and building a management team capable of supporting continued growth.This is a newly created leadership opportunity for an experienced construction operations professional who can take ownership of day-to-day operations while also serving as a trusted relationship manager for general contractor clients.About the RoleThe Operations Director will oversee the day-to-day operational and client relationship functions of the company's construction cleaning division.This role requires someone who can move comfortably between operations, client relationships, scheduling, estimating, and crew coordination.You may spend part of the day building trust with a general contractor's project manager or site superintendent and the next coordinating crews, reviewing project scope, or preparing a bid.Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is required. You will communicate with general contractor contacts and office staff in English while working directly with Spanish-speaking field crews in Spanish.What You'll DoScheduling & OperationsOwn the master schedule for all active construction projectsCoordinate crew assignments with site supervisors and field staff in English and SpanishProactively communicate schedule changes to general contractor contactsEnsure crews have the supplies, equipment, and site access needed to complete projectsMonitor job progress and identify scope changes or potential change-order opportunitiesResolve operational issues quickly and keep projects movingClient Relationship ManagementServe as the primary day-to-day contact for general contractor accountsMaintain consistent communication with project managers and site superintendentsBuild relationships with existing clients and identify upcoming project opportunitiesStay ahead of bid opportunities and engage with clients before formal RFPs are issuedAttend pre-bid meetings and scope review meetingsCoordinate with the company's sales resources on new account opportunities and existing account growthMaintain accurate client and pipeline information in the CRMEstimatingOwn the estimating process for construction cleaning bidsReview project scopes and use AI-assisted tools for preliminary scope analysisApply labor rates, material costs, and margin targets to develop competitive and profitable bidsTarget a 48-hour turnaround on estimatesManage approximately 2–5 bids per weekTrack win/loss rates and identify pricing trendsPartner with the CEO on final approval for large or non-standard bidsReporting & AccountabilityProvide a weekly operations and pipeline update to the CEOMaintain a current bid pipeline, including active estimates, stages, and expected close datesMonitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvementEnsure commitments to clients and crews are consistently followed throughWhat We're Looking ForFull professional fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken5+ years of experience in commercial construction, construction services, or a related environmentExperience working with general contractors, project managers, and/or site superintendentsStrong client relationship and communication skillsComfortable representing a company in client meetings, on job sites, and by phoneHighly organized and disciplined with strong follow-up skillsCommercially minded with an understanding of pipeline, opportunity, and business growthProactive communicator who addresses issues before they become problemsAbility to work independently in a growing, entrepreneurial environmentCompensation & Benefits$85,000 and up depending on experiencePerformance bonus tied to revenue and gross profit growthFull-time, on-site positionDirect access to ownership and senior leadershipOpportunity to take significant ownership of a growing business functionPotential for expanded responsibility as the company continues to grow
