Advertising.com develops technology for programmatic advertising and digital monetization, with demand-side and supply-side platforms, audience engagement products and search tools. We are hiring a hands-on Vice President of Sales to personally win new brand and agency business and directly manage, train and coach salespeople every day.

You will build your own pipeline through outbound prospecting and close digital advertising and performance media business across industries. This role requires a sustained career in selling, recent personally originated wins and the ability to improve how other sellers prospect, qualify, negotiate and close.

What you will do

• Personally initiate outbound prospecting through account research, calls, email, referrals and relationships with brand marketers and agency buyers.

• Own opportunities from the first conversation through discovery, proposal, negotiation and signed agreement; maintain direct responsibility for winning new business.

• Develop opportunities across display, social, mobile, search, connected TV (CTV) and programmatic advertising, matching proposals to each client's business objectives.

• Build relationships with decision-makers across brands, agencies and industries, and navigate complex buying groups and procurement processes.

• Directly manage and coach sellers daily through prospecting sessions, call reviews, role-play, deal strategy and clear performance feedback.

• Establish practical sales playbooks and a consistent rhythm for individual coaching, pipeline reviews, accurate CRM records and forecasting.

• Work with campaign, account management and operations teams to align proposals, measurement expectations and delivery commitments; identify expansion opportunities while keeping a strong focus on new business.

What you bring

• Seven or more years of successful digital advertising, performance media or related enterprise sales experience, including substantial brand and agency selling.

• Three or more years directly managing, training and coaching salespeople, with examples of improving individual prospecting, closing and sales performance.

• A demonstrated record of personally sourcing and closing new business. Be ready to discuss recent wins, your own sales results and your specific contribution.

• Working knowledge of display, social, mobile, search, CTV and programmatic advertising and the ability to connect media plans to client objectives.

• Confidence discussing campaign measurement, conversion, CPA and ROAS, including attribution limitations where relevant.

• Strong discovery, presentation, proposal, negotiation and follow-through skills, supported by disciplined CRM and forecasting habits.

• Ability to work full time, in person, at our Chicago office and take daily responsibility for both selling and seller development.
