Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures to ensure safety and accuracy
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, maintaining proper documentation and records
• Create a positive, professional environment by explaining procedures and building trust and confidence with patients
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to safety protocols and confidentiality standards
• Perform daily activities independently under the supervision of the area supervisor, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time
• Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public

Required Skills

• Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric collections
• Proficiency in keyboard and data entry operations
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over 1 year preferred
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
• Must have own reliable transportation within 20–25 minutes of the worksite
• Candidate's school schedule must not conflict with scheduled shifts if currently a student
• Must be punctual, dependable, and committed to full shift coverage without excessive absenteeism or tardiness
