The Service Advisor will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, greeting guests, listening to concerns, and documenting vehicle issues accurately. Daily responsibilities include preparing service estimates, explaining recommended maintenance and repairs, coordinating with technicians, and updating customers on repair status and timelines. The role involves scheduling service appointments, managing repair orders, reviewing invoices, and ensuring that work is completed to meet customer expectations and dealership standards. The Service Advisor will also handle warranty and insurance-related service questions, promote preventive maintenance, and support a positive, efficient, and safe service environment. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on building trust and long-term relationships. Candidates should possess knowledge of Vehicle Maintenance and Automotive Repair to communicate service needs clearly and accurately. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written abilities and active listening. Relevant skills such as attention to detail, time management, and basic computer proficiency (DMS, scheduling, email) are beneficial. Previous experience in an automotive service advisor, service writer, or related dealership role is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional automotive or customer service training is a plus.
