Senior Security Engineer

Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a senior-level Security Operations professional with 5-10+ years of experience.
• We need hands-on experience in security investigations, incident response, and responding to security events.
• We require experience supporting containment, eradication, and recovery activities.
• We expect familiarity with security alerts, detections, and the development or upkeep of playbooks and runbooks.
• We need knowledge of Security Operations tools such as SIEM/SOAR, EDR, email security gateways, and firewalls.
• We value strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• We need someone who can explain complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We require strong written and verbal communication skills.
• We look for demonstrated leadership in an individual contributor capacity.
• We prefer experience mentoring junior team members.
• Nice-to-have experience includes detection engineering, alert tuning, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS, Google Security Operations, and participation in tabletop exercises or security audits.

• Lead containment, eradication, and recovery efforts for endpoint, cloud, identity, and other security incidents.
• Act as an escalation point for complex security events and incidents.
• Investigate security events and determine the appropriate response actions.
• Help develop and improve security playbooks and runbooks.
• Provide feedback to the Detection team to strengthen detections, enrichment, and automated response.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve logging visibility and response readiness.
• Support operational maturity through playbooks, mentoring, tabletop exercises, detections, and audits.
• Mentor junior team members and help strengthen their Security Operations skills.
• Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
