Shipping Team Lead (Mon-Thurs)

Position: Shipping Team Lead Location: Utah Duration: Long-term Pay Rate: $19.00 Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shipping Team Lead to drive our operational efficiency and ensure the seamless fulfillment of customer orders. This position will help support their team wherever needed; prepare orders, pulling material, pack boxes, loading orders onto trucks, etc. If you're an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, this is the opportunity for you! This role will report to the Shipping Supervisor in Ogden, UT. Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead, train, and evaluate shipping team members, fostering a positive work environment. Assign and oversee daily shipping tasks to meet business needs and productivity goals. Troubleshoot issues related to shipping and equipment. Ensure team members follow all safety procedures and company policies and conduct safety audits of the shipping area. Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures. Scan and sort outgoing orders. Prepare orders by processing requests; picking; packing boxes; loading orders into trucks. Maintain equipment in good condition. Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts. Strong sense of time management and urgency. Working collaboratively with other members and independently. Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Assist in training new hires. Other tasks as assigned. Requirements Required skills and qualifications: Proven experience as a team lead or a similar role in a shipping, warehouse, or logistics environment. Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills. Proficient knowledge of shipping procedures, protocols, and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction and upholding team performance standards.Ability to use tools and machines. Basic computer skills required. Good understanding of quality control principles. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Excellent time-management skills. Willing and able to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear). Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods working on feet (10-hr shifts) and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent grasping, bending, walking, reaching, twisting, and pivoting. Consistently stretch/ reach with both hands and arms. Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and box filters. Ability to bend, squat, and lift frequently. Lift up to 40 pounds, frequently. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
