• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, 4 shifts per schedule
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional with a strong background in labor and delivery to join our team in an acute care hospital setting. This position requires the ability to float between like units, accommodate block scheduling as determined by management, and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• ACLS, BCLS, and NRP certifications are required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:2
• First-timers accepted
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Patient Care Details

• Staffed Beds: 392
• Patient Age Groups: Adults
• Unit Details: Staff to patient ratio of 2:1 for day and night shifts
• Daily Census: Varies with unit needs

Essential Skills and Responsibilities

• Experience in Antepartum care, including labor and delivery
• Ability to circulate and recover C-sections, and perform sterile vaginal exams
• Monitoring and maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC)
• Administering anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and insulin drips
• Assisting with high-risk deliveries and providing postpartum couplet care
• Utilizing Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
• Adhering to isolation precautions and maintaining PPE standards
