Financial Analyst II

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst II to join a growing healthcare finance team. This role is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, grant accounting, month-end close activities, reconciliations, variance analysis, and providing financial guidance to operational leaders. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable presenting financial information to leadership. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports. Perform budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis. Assist department leaders with annual operating budgets. Conduct actual-to-budget financial reviews and identify trends. Complete grant-related pre-award and post-award financial activities. Prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations. Analyze month-end financial results and assist with closing activities. Resolve financial discrepancies with department leaders. Present financial analyses and recommendations to leadership. Participate in special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’ s degree in accounting. 5-7 years of financial analysis or accounting experience. Strong understanding of budgeting and financial reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas). Experience preparing financial statements and reconciliations. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines. Preferred Qualifications CPA designation. Healthcare finance experience. Experience with Epic and/or Workday. PowerPoint presentation skills. Grant accounting experience.
