The Operations Manager is responsible for optimizing profitability and productivity at the site while ensuring Customer Satisfaction, compliance with company and government regulations, and continuous improvement of Operations while motivating, coaching, and training the assigned staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  Provide leadership and overall direction for site-based operations, including daily execution, staffing, service quality and administrative requirements.

• Manage site personnel, equipment, inventory and operating resources to support safe, efficient and cost-effective performance.
• Support demand planning and inventory management by monitoring item requirements, stock availability and order activity to ensure adequate supply for customer and operational needs.
• Plan and coordinate site work in alignment with vessel schedules, customer requirements, quality standards and budget objectives.
• Coordinate warehouse picking, staging, pallet movements, and loading activities to ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and ready for delivery.
• Review vessel schedules, delivery ETAs, and incoming order activity to plan daily dispatch planning, driver assignments, delivery ETAs and next-day delivery logistics with warehouse teams, suppliers, agents, and launch services.
• Maintain the site in a safe, compliant and environmentally sound condition in accordance with DOT, EPA and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Serve as Wrist’s primary point of contact for customers regarding site operations, service execution and all operational issues.
• Monitor and manage key cost drivers, including overtime, returns, x-dock activity, and other controllable operating expenses.
• Implement and enforce company policies, procedures and standards in a safe and compliant manner.
• Lead personnel management activities, including staffing and onboarding functions to include hiring, terminating, training, performance management, and corrective action in accordance with company policies.
• Conduct regular safety briefings and reinforce safety as a top operational priority.
• Manage and supervise assigned personnel and initiate corrective action for unsatisfactory performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Complete annual written performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
• Promote strong employee morale, accountability and a positive, solutions-oriented work environment.
• Maintain working knowledge of applicable regulations and operational standards, including HACCP, DOT, and other relevant requirements.
• Complete required compliance activities within established timelines and maintain accurate records to support audit readiness and regulatory accountability.
• Identify and share opportunities to improve processes, productivity, service quality and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain a proactive, customer-focused approach to problem solving and service recovery.
• Ensure assigned equipment and vehicles are maintained in good working conditions and that preventive maintenance is completed timely.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma. College degree highly desirable or minimum of 7 years management experience in the industry.
