Technical Writer

Overview:Why United Rotorcraft? Based in Englewood, Colorado, United Rotorcraft designs and modifies mission-critical aircraft supporting air medical, firefighting, military, law enforcement, and other specialized operations.As a Technical Writer, you'll develop and maintain technical publications that support aircraft installation, maintenance, and repair activities. You'll work closely with engineering and certification teams to ensure documentation meets FAA, ODA, and industry requirements while supporting the safe operation and maintenance of our aircraft.Pay *Pay Range: $64,286.25 – $80,377.50 Annually *Actual compensation is based on relevant experience, skills, and overall qualifications. This position is also eligible for Air Methods' comprehensive employee benefits package.Responsibilities:Research and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents to create and maintain technical publications to support Air Methods/United Rotorcraft productsWork independently and as part of a team to develop technical manuals (e.g., AFM, AMM/ICA, CMM, WDM, SRM) and service documents from engineering, manufacturing, and supplier dataSupport Certification, Engineering, and other departments by preparing and/or formatting/editing documents to ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable regulatory/industry guidanceWork to continuously improve Air Methods/United Rotorcraft technical documents by performing quality checks of work for accuracy and consistencyCreate and maintain procedures, style guides, and templates used for technical content generationDevelop, maintain, and provide training for technical content generators, reviewers, and consumersProvide quoted hours for assigned work tasksOther duties as assigned.Additional Job RequirementsRegular scheduled attendanceIndicate the percentage of time spent traveling Subject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
