Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ Years Required License: Michigan License Verification Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: 3+ Years of Experience Completion of 1+ Travel Assignment Primarily ICU experience, with the ability to float to CVICU Preferred Description: This position follows a clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach via phone and text, with decisions typically made the same day or by the next business day. Applicants looking for more than 7 days off or who seek more than 50% of holidays off, as well as those with negative background or employment history, are not eligible for the same processing timeline. The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates, and delegates activities in order to foster patient and family-centered care. Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient. Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs. Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs. Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions. Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, and professional development. A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. Physical copies of certifications are only required if listed above. A strict attendance policy is in place. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift three times will be terminated immediately. Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed favorably. This policy will begin on 2/28/2024. Every other weekend availability is required.
