Mail Room Coordinator

Make a difference.As a Mail Room Coordinator, you will ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are in operating condition. You will perform daily functions of the Mail Room, and process all payroll and AP checks for distribution.In this role you will:Assist with the sorting, filing, pick-up and delivery of interoffice mail, incoming mail, and notices; ensure proper methods of packing parcels, and determine best and proper shipping methods; physically lift, move, and transport packages to post office if necessary; trace/track all lost shipmentsProcess and distribute payroll and AP checks under the guidance of a payroll personMaintain postage records for metered postage; keep inventory of certified cards, custom forms, and UPS stickersTrain Mail Room personnel on all branch and district locations, efficient routing of mail, use of scale on postage machine, proper postage requirements for domestic and foreign mail, use of folding and inserting machineAccount for postage, and advise in a timely manner of need for additional postage, and conduct semiannual inventory of envelope stockWhat you bring to the table:2+ years Mail Room experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED preferredAbility to lift and move up to 70 pounds without assistance, as well as walk, bend, twist, squat, stoop, sit and stand for extended periods of timeExperience with general office equipment, postage machines, personal computers, folding and inserting machineryKnowledge of basic postal regulationsKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeOrganizational, active listening, and follow-up skillsReading and mathematical skillsAbility to work under minimum supervisionShift and Hours: Monday - Friday; 8 am to 5 pmCompensation Details: The expected starting rate of pay for this position is $20.00 per hour, with compensation subject to increase based on experience.The Value of Graybar:At Graybar, we are known for our comprehensive benefits and our employee stock ownership plan!
