About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of strong OR experience required License: Valid State License preferred Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Strong orthopedic skills, with general surgery as a secondary skill Description: Position requires an Operating Room Nurse with strong orthopedic skills. General surgery experience is a secondary requirement. Shifts consist of 5 eight-hour shifts. Start times for shifts include 06:45, 09:00, 11:00, and 14:45. Weekend requirements are as needed. On-call requirements are necessary but only as needed. The nurse will float within the scope to meet facility needs. The facility is an acute care teaching hospital. Total staffed beds are 317. Charting system in use is Epic. Prior experience with Epic charting is required. The patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics. Daily census and specific patient ratios are not specified. Special procedures handled in the unit include general, urology, neuro, spine, ENT, and orthopedics. The nurse will be a part of an interdisciplinary support team. Candidates must have completed required certifications prior to submission. References from previous supervisors are required. Candidates are expected to have travel experience. This position will not accept local candidates within a specified distance.
