Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour, Mid 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of strong Operating Room experience required License: Valid state nursing license preferred; pending licenses accepted Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: Strong orthopedic skills Description: Position for an Operating Room Registered Nurse with strong orthopedic skills and general surgery experience as secondary. The shifts available are 5x8 hours with start times of 06:45, 09:00, 11:00, and 14:45. On-call is required only as needed. Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals to meet facility needs. Local candidates within a specified distance are not accepted for this position. Candidates may request up to 5 days of time off during the contract. Ortho experience is a prerequisite for this role. The facility is an acute care teaching hospital. It is a level 3 trauma center. Candidate must have experience with Epic charting system. Certified references from supervisors are required at the time of submission. Travel experience is required. Candidates will be responsible for completing any required pre-start modules. Every module completed will receive a stipend. The position involves working with adult and geriatric patient age groups. The environment includes general, gynecologic, urology, robotics, neuro, spine, ENT, and orthopedic cases. This position may involve specialized procedures as required by the department.
