Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist - Hybrid

Investigate and handle primarily New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York Workers' Compensation claims of a complex and serious nature, plus other jurisdictions as needed Perform special claims investigations and handling matters requiring broad technical claims knowledge Operate independently with little supervision Settle claims within assigned authority Contact attorneys concerning serious claim matters Review court decisions, law, and coverage interpretations Assume Claims Supervisor duties in the Supervisor's absence Requirements 4-year degree in business administration or equivalent experience Minimum of 1-2 years as Claims Specialist or 3-4 years adjusting experience Lost time experience required Experience with NJ, PA, and/or NY jurisdictions preferred Required to obtain adjuster license(s) in the state(s) in which assigned to adjust claims Licensing must be obtained within the timeframe set by the Company and maintained as needed throughout employment Broad knowledge and understanding of the law and claim practices Customer service experience Investigative skills Detail orientation Technical claims knowledge Decision-making skills Ability to communicate with insureds, attorneys, and other relevant parties Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in handling complex Workers' Compensation claims across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York, with a strong focus on investigative skills, technical claims knowledge, and effective communication with stakeholders.
