Job Title: CT Scan TechnologistJob Location: Hackensack, NJSchedule: Sunday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AMFriday & Saturday: OFFHours: 40 hours/weekIf you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.Required Candidate ProfileCandidates must have the following:CT Technologist experienceGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology programHigh School Diploma/GEDNJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography LicenseARRT – R.T.(R) certification/licenseAmerican Heart Association (AHA) BLS certificationKnowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioningStrong knowledge of CT equipment, software, and proceduresThorough knowledge of PACSAbility to perform complex CT proceduresExperience with contrast administration, venipuncture, and IV proceduresAbility to review patient history, prescriptions, and CT protocolsAbility to work scheduled shifts, including holidays/weekends and on-call assignments as requiredPreferred QualificationsARRT – R.T.(CT) certification preferredMinimum 6 months of CT experience preferredExperience with EPICExperience with HIS/RIS systemsMaintains required CEU creditsCertification Note: Team members are expected to obtain ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire, if not already certified.Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be responsible for:Performing CT procedures and producing diagnostic sectional/3D imagesPreparing and positioning patients for CT scansReviewing patient clinical history and prescriptionsFollowing appropriate CT protocols and coordinating with Radiologists/Referring Physicians when clarification is requiredAdministering contrast media as prescribedPerforming venipuncture and maintaining IV accessMonitoring patients xhyhwjd for adverse reactionsReviewing images through PACS for identification and diagnostic qualityCoordinating outside studies/CDs and ensuring availability in PACSProviding appropriate patient instructions and addressing patient concernsMaintaining accurate documentation in EPIC/PACSSupporting patient care across different age groups and populationsParticipating in on-call, overtime, holiday, and weekend coverage as requiredPhysical/Work RequirementsAbility to lift at least 25 lbs.Ability to push/pull at least 50 lbs.Ability to stand for a minimum of 6 hours per day
