CT Scan Technologist – ContractLocation: Hackensack, NJ 07601Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AMDays Off: Friday & SaturdayHours: 40 hours/weekThe information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced CT Scan Technologist to perform CT imaging procedures in a hospital/clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have CT experience, ARRT certification, NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License, AHA BLS, and strong knowledge of CT equipment, protocols, PACS, contrast administration, and patient care.Required QualificationsCT Technologist experienceGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology programHigh School Diploma/GEDNJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography LicenseARRT R.T.(R) certificationAHA BLS certificationKnowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioningStrong knowledge of CT equipment, software, and proceduresThorough knowledge of PACSAbility to perform complex CT proceduresExperience with contrast administration, venipuncture, and IV proceduresAbility to review patient history, prescriptions, and CT protocolsAbility to work scheduled shifts and participate in required coveragePreferred QualificationsARRT R.T.(CT) certification preferredMinimum 6 months of CT experience preferredEPIC experienceHIS/RIS experienceMaintains required CEU creditsCertification Requirement: Candidates who do not already hold ARRT (CT) certification are expected to obtain it within 12 months of hireKey ResponsibilitiesPerform CT procedures and produce diagnostic sectional/3D imagesPrepare and position patients for CT examinationsReview patient clinical history, prescriptions, and CT protocolsFollow established CT protocols and coordinate with Radiologists/Referring Physicians when clarification is neededAdminister contrast media as prescribedPerform venipuncture and maintain IV accessMonitor patients for adverse reactionsReview images through PACS for quality and completenessCoordinate outside studies/CDs and ensure availability in PACSProvide patient instructions and address patient concernsMaintain accurate documentation in EPIC/PACSProvide care to patients across different xhyhwjd age groups and populationsParticipate in overtime, holiday, weekend, and on-call coverage as requiredPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift at least 25 lbsAbility to push/pull at least 50 lbsAbility to stand for a minimum of 6 hours per daySubmission RequirementsCT Technologist experienceARRT (R) certificationNJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography LicenseAHA BLS certificationCT equipment and procedure experiencePACS experienceEPIC/HIS/RIS experience, if applicableCurrent locationAvailability for Sunday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AMEarliest available start dateWillingness to work onsite in Hackensack, NJ
