About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to lead the commercial legal function and support the expected first U.S. product launch. The successful candidate will be a trusted strategic partner, providing practical and business-savvy legal advice to the commercial, medical affairs, and patient support functions. This role requires a deep understanding of U.S. healthcare laws, FDA promotional regulations, and industry codes to ensure legal and compliant pre-launch, launch, and ongoing commercial and medical activities. The Associate General Counsel will also be responsible for overseeing the compliance program, partnering with cross-functional teams, and providing training and policy development. The ideal candidate will have a JD with at least 12 years of relevant legal experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a preference for biotech, and a proven track record of balancing risk and business goals. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should have a JD with a minimum of 12 years of legal experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a strong preference for those with a background in biotech. The role demands a candidate with a deep knowledge of FDA promotional regulations, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, OIG Guidance, and industry codes, and the ability to stay current on evolving trends and enforcement. Experience in supporting product launch planning, particularly for the first U.S. launch, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, start-up environment are essential. The role also requires excellent communication skills, strong business partnering abilities, and a flexible, adaptive approach to work.
